The magnet transfer window for the 2012-13 school year is currently open and will end on February 20th. Visit the Magnet Schools Department site for open house dates, transfer procedures and details. Interested students and parents may attend the Magnet Fair at the Knoxville Museum of Art Thursday, Feb 2 from 4:30-6:30. School Counseling
School Counselors are certified/licensed educators trained in school counseling with unique qualifications and skills to address all students’ academic, personal/social and career development needs.  School counselors have a master’s degree or higher in school counseling, meet the state certification/licensure standards and abide by the laws of the states in which they are employed. 




How and Why do parents contact the School Counselor?
  Concerns over student achievement....Family health problems....New school orientation and registration....
Test Interpretation....Discussing special needs of their child....Early discussion of potential crises....
Family difficulties or concerns
 
Counselors are available to conference with parents over the phone or in person. To schedule a parent-teacher conference please contact your students counselor. Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for 8am on the chosen day.
